PaganGurl and Map Cycle Change.

Ok... I've added cs_mansion and de_aztec to the mapcycle... if you don't have cs_mansion get it from the downloads page. I recieved a disturbing e-mail from PaganGurl. It seems that look_a_ditraction posted Pagan's grandmothers phone number somewhere. Then glassjaw and hybrid thought it would be a good idea to call her there. They had a few choice words and questions for her which were rude and inappropiate to put it mildly. This type of behavior is childish, disrespectfull and will not be tolerated. I expect members and recruits to be respectfull to each other at a minimum. If you can't do this then you will be discharged from the clan. This issue is not over. There will be consiquences to be delt with in regards to this type behavior.

New IP For !24/7Pool_Day Par Tay Server.

Here is my first new posting in a couple of months. If you like to play on the !24/7 Pool_Day Par Tay Server... Please note that the IP address has changed... it now is: 67.8.235.88:27015 This server has also been upgraded. It now is a P-3 500 w/ 512 cache and 512 megs of RAM, 20 gigs IBM Deskstar 7200 RPM HDD. The old set up had a Celeron 500, 256 mega RAM and a Maxtor 13.1 gig 5400 RPM HDD. The upgrades should make a considerable difference in gameplay. The website, www.zip-force.com is also going to be updated as well, so look for that to be up and running soon. lots of changes there too. Additional info on some other crap is soon to come.

A Break For Me.

I've been forced to take a CS break. My Drive is full of shit and needs to be FFR'd. It's been impossible to play when the computer freezes up every 10 mins during play. Once I re-do my box I will be playing again. I want to talk about something for a moment. The amount of cheating and cheaters is out of control. It takes the challenge and fun out of the game... makes me want to stop playing all together and shutting down the servers. After everybody bitched and moaned about the cheaters... I installed C-D said by most to be the best ANTI-CHEAT tool around and once installed as a requirement to play... players and members bitched, makes me wonder... so I made it an option then most players refused to use it or would "forget to turn it on" once in the game.... so I don't know man.... nobody wants to play fair... It make my very discouraged about playing anymore. See you all soon... maybe...

A couple of quick things. 1. Admin powers crap is working for Pimp, Gruuvez, Dark Horse and Dubl-07. 2. I will be fixing the E-mail and Enlist page problems within 48 hours. 3. If you are an Active Member you should contact me so I can set you up with a zip-force.com e-mail address... this will help getting in touch with members easier to discuss upcoming practices. 4. There are a few new maps in the rotation... download them from the Downloads Area of this site... Please don't force the server to upload the map to you... it lags the damn game... plus it's faster from the site.

Finally Some Info.

Here is some valuable info. The clan is going to split into teams. One team will be led by [Z-F]->Dark Horse<- the other by me... [Z-F]->DuBL-07<-. A-Team DuBL-07 Gruuves Kenji PimpMaster Nem Shveik D-Team DarkHorse [ops.]brains Solja Goldeneye Saint Ryokishinato These teams are based on the amount of time any given player has spent on the server at any given time. Players on "A" and "D" should play on opposite teams when in the server. Anytime spent on the server should be considered as "practice time" Dark and I will co-ordinate and inform "Teamates" of clan only practices. Focus should be on playing as one. Communication within the Game is a must and should be practiced. On the subject of "Friendly Fire"... Friendly fire is "ON" and will stay "ON" even in the fy maps... sorry. Admin Powers... I have used the java-script calculator on the AdminMod webpage... but it don't seem to be working right. More details to come once I hear from Dark.

Ideas and Stuff.

My experiences have shown me that before players can work out strats and execute plans of attack they need to learn each others playing styles. This is accomplished when members play together frequently. Energies should be focused on this. Once we all know how the others play the rest will come naturally with time. I propose we start steady practices to work on this. Anyone interested in this can e-mail me the days and times they are available for this. Base your information on Eastern Time please. I will try to accommodate everyone. Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Server Move Complete.

Well the server move is now complete. As you can see the site is back up again now that the DNS crap is fixed. The server is running great in it's new home and with some more memory it should only get better. Now on to some disappointing crap and non-sense. Even after my last post here where I went into, at length, about admin bullshit, C-Walk Master decided to abuse his powers and began to use GodMode, FunMode, kick, slap, slay and other admin commands in an abusive manner at his leisure and particularly to another clan member because he... and I quote "can't stand" this other member. So what was I to do... I took away his powers. This didn't make him very happy. He picked-up his ball and run home... so to speak. He decided to leave the clan. This is fine with me. Frankly I don't want his type of attitude on my team. If you have a problem with a clan member or a friend that plays on MY server... don't take it out on them in my house. Do what you need to do or say on your own time. Leave it out of the server. This is why I am so reluctant to give out admin powers. On to something else... CS 1.6 is scheduled to come out Thursday. I'm not sure if I am going to update right away. I'll try to have the update files available here for download. I'm done for now.

New Recruits, Gambino Returns And Other Important Info.

Welcome back Gambino now known as Dark Horse. He's old school [Z-F] and it's great to have him back. He was a very good player then and I'm sure he's gotten better. There are a couple of new recruits... [Z-F]-r->Goldeneye<- and [Z-F]-r->Had*Your*Coffee<-.... Welcome and good luck. Now on to a touchy subject... Admin Rights. Everyone wants Admin Rights. Well I'm sorry but not everyone is getting them. Admin Rights are given and used so that when the leader is not around someone from the clan can maintain order and monitor the server. Dax has them because he is from the old school [Z-F] and I respect that, but if he doesn't spend very much time on the server than what good is it. Admin rights are given out based on the amount of time any given member spends on the server and what is reported back to the leader. Rights are not given out based on when one joined but this does influence the decision. Now... MyMyHead, C-Walk Masta, Deagle God and Kenjishito all came in at about the same time and all feel they should have rights.... this is a valid way of thinking, however the way I see it being an admin should be separated into shifts and /or location. For example, players that are on the East Coast and play mostly during the day for whatever reason should have one of that group with rights... and from them it should be the one who has been a member the longest. This can be applied to any of the other time zones and playing scenarios. The players that I see most often on the server are C-Walk, Deagle and Kenji. so at the moment I still trying to find a way to make this fair so bare with me on that. Something that we as members of [Z-F] have to think about and something that needs to be considered as it relates to the whole admin thing is that if anyone wants to start playing in leagues or matches against other clans... ya"ll need to forget about the admin bullshit and start thinking about learning how to play as a team. Pick a partner and an assignment then concentrate on that at all times. Work and practice on strategies or be prepared to have your ass handed to you in a league. If anyone thinks that these things are not discussed by other clans... your out of your mind. This does not mean don't have fun.... it only means that there are players out there that take CS very seriously and if anyone wants to compete with leagues and clans then there has to be a certain amount of seriousness has to be addressed. Next... the server is moving later this week... I'm not sure which day but a have the IP that we will be using. It is 209.208.89.18:27015. Make a note of it. I hope that no one is offended or takes what I have said the wrong way. It's gonna take a while before we can put our heads out on the CS chopping block because I'd rather lose gracefully than get embarrassed. New Server Pics.

I have posted a couple of pics and specs for the upgraded server on the "Extras Page". Little by little I'll be putting more stuff the as well. I have met some really cool guys that own a HUGE Data Center here in Orlando and they have given me permission to put a CS Server at their location. This place is wild... It has MULTIPLE OC192's... LOTS of them... ridiculous amounts of bandwidth. I can't give out too much more info right now but as soon as I can I will. It's gonna be a few weeks before it's up anyway because I gotta build the box it will run on. If anyone has hardware they would like to donate to this project please contact me... 007@zip-force.com.

Server Upgrade and Happy New Year.

What's up all... I upgraded the server last night... I didn't get done till about 4:00am est... and didn't feel like going out to put it back to the rack, so I did it this morning. Everything went pretty smoothly, thank God, regenerating the raid is what took the most time to do. When I get around to it I will post some pics of the new and the old servers on the "Extras Page" Anyway I would like to wish everyone a safe and Happy New Year, don't do anything that I wouldn't do.... which actually leaves huge possibilities open to you.

Change To Dust Server.

The Dust Bowl Server will running Dust and Pool day maps in the rotation with 50 minute rounds. Pool day has a way of getting a lot of traffic... go figure... so until further notice that's the way it will run. Pool Day Par tay is getting quite a few "regulars" playing there... it's nice to see that. It would be great if these regulars would start playing on the faster server (216.199,164.2:27015) and get some other CSer's involved. More site updates will be done today and for the next few days 'till the site is fully functional so keep comin' back to see what's new. OMG !!! IT'S THE NEW SITE !!!

LOOK! IT'S THE NEW SITE... OMG.... FINALLY!!! Altogether now... YEAAAAAAAAHHHH! Yes it's been a long time coming. There's been a lot great deal of action on the ! 24/7 Pool day Partay server, It's laggy with high pings at times but fun to play no less. Dax is an Admin.

Congrats to Dax he is now an Admin. Contrary to what some may think, I did not give him admin to stay in the clan... but I gave him admin because I feel I can trust that he won't be a dick as admin. I think that he will responsible. Even I there is only Dax Friktion and I left... [Z-F] is still alive. You can't break the idea of [Z-F]... I started it... you can't deny it. Others on the other hand have done nothing but follow.

Getting Settled In

Well I'm almost done moving. I'm waiting for time Warner to come out and transfer my services. I would set everything up myself but it's been about 400 degrees outside for the past few days... oh, then there's those pesky afternoon thunder storms in the afternoon too. I'm was never really a big fan of spending a whole lotta time in attics during the summer anyway. Gotta go... more later.

It's A Game People !

It's seems that there have been some members that have gone to be in NWO. This is fine I really don't have a problem with that. The boys at NWO happen to be pretty nice guys... I have met some of them. What I do have a problem with is that... No one said anything to me about it.... they claim that they sent me a couple of e-mails about it. Let me just go on the record to say that I check me e-mail about 20 times a day, if not more and I did not receive any mail from any of them. Furthermore, These guys know my e-mail address other than 007@zip-force.com but I didn't get any from them there either. So I am of the opinion that maybe they never sent an e-mail in regards to this. To take it one step further one of them has my NEXTEL ID and can very simply BLEEP me, on the two-way, at any time day or night, as has been done in the past, to inform me of such. Not only that but one of them is trying to get the rest of the members to switch from [Z-F] to NWO. He also has told Spiderman and I quote "Don't believe his lies". Why would I lie about not getting his e-mail.... there is no reason for me to lie about this.... I wouldn't try to talk him out of going to NWO... more power to you man... then he goes on to say to Spiderman... "Why do you want to stay with that sorry ass clan with a sorry ass server that no one plays on..." You know what DUDE... this "sorry ass" is the one that introduced you to the fucking game !!! If it weren't for me you wouldn't know what Counter-Strike was... this includes most of the local Orlando guys, except for Oppy, that now play because I turned them on to it. Am I bitter... YES... I'm I chewing sour grapes... YES... But the fact in the matter is simply this... IT'S ONLY A FUCKING GAME !!! I play because it's fun and I have told all my friends about it... Am I or have I ever claimed to be the best at it... NO... far from it. But I like to play and enjoy the comradely from people that I meet while playing. So if anyone else wants to go on to "bigger and better clans"... please do so... but let me know so that I can delete your e-mail account from my server. If anybody wants to stick around and play with a few guys that want to have some fun then your more than welcome. I will continue to have my "sorry ass" server and my "sorry ass" web site till such time that I can no longer afford it or I just get tired of them and the game. Dysan... I never got an e-mail from you. Oppy... I never got one from you either. So if either of you did send mail to me it's lost somewhere on the internet. Both of you have my other e-mail address... if maybe by some fluke my zip-force one wasn't working but none came there... and my mail server shows no record of such e-mails as well. Oh yeah... I forgot about the forums... truth is I haven't had time to read through the posts, I'm in the process of buying a house and have other things on my mind... you do remember what that's like don't you Dysan... didn't you just buy one not too long ago... "So What's Going On Duba?"

Here's what's going on. The test server is back online.... but it is suffering from "lagspikeatosis"... I have no idea why... I've been trying to figure out why without success. I installed this Microsoft firewall shit but am still tweaking it... so I'm stumped... for now. Now on to a couple of other things... [Z-F] is not DEAD. As long as I continue to play CS there will be a [Z-F]Clan... even if it's just me and the kid... (Friktion). Changes are reflected in the active members page. Spiderman has been playing at NWO quite a bit, which is cool but he drops his tag... is he ashamed? Dunno... I've been spending a lot of time at the DGP Servers. 66.114.210.99:27015 is the primary server I think... they have 2. Check out their web page www.dpgclan.com the intro is very cool... (I wish we had something like that but some clan members had promised to put something like that together for us about a year ago but I have yet to see a finished product... I'm not holding my breathe.) These guys, DPG, and others that go there play well, plus cheating is controlled in a big way. You can find me there from time to time when I'm not alone in one of our servers. Clan members will come and go but as long as I'm still around so will [Z-F]. Loyal to the end.

CS 1.5 Is Now Out.

Counter-Strike has been released Wednesday... I wish they would activate the friggin' Anti-Cheat shit they were patting themselves on the back over the last time an update was done... uuuhhhh CS 1.4. I like the new map... de_piranesi.

NWO Visits [Z-F] in Orlando.

Monday night Spiderman, Dysan and I had the privilege to meet Napoleon, Import and Spectra. We all got together at Spidey's house and went The Roxy for Monday night fights. More to tell soon.

The Scoop.

All right people here is the scoop. Since the move to the new offices we have been experiencing problems with our internet connection at Digitel I.S.P.. These problems were discovered by the erratic behavior the server has been displaying. For several weeks I've been changing things around including making hardware changes in some cases. We went as far as to install a Cisco 7200 router and a new switch because we began to think and were told by FDN that the problems were in the rack and our equipment. Guess what ? .... No change. We are still getting ridiculous latency sweeps and lag spikes. Crap like this is not usually noticed if your only serving up web pages and e-mail. This led us to the conclusion that the problem is in our knock. We reported it to FDN who suggested that we do the following test. Build a duplicate server put it at the co-lo office where our dail-up routers and switches are... (6th floor of the Bank of America in downtown Orlando... very cool place... 65 degrees at all times... I'll try to take pictures next time and post them...) and see how it runs. We went last night at about 11:30 PM and installed it...needless to say the one at the co-lo is the fastest server I've ever played on in my life... not a drop of lag.... spikes are non existent.... check it out at 216.199.114.37:27015. So with the data that we are able to compile from this test time we will be able to prove to FDN that our connection at the office is fucked up and that they need to fix it. YOU too can help. Take a couple of minutes during the next few days that the test server is up to do a "tracert" and "ping" session to both the regular servers' ip address and the test servers ip address. Take screen shots of the results and send them to me to show FDN. Thanks more to come later.

How do you like 1.4 ?

I don't know about you but I like 1.4. Lots of neat features especially for those of us like me that spend a lot of time DEAD. The server has been a real pain in the ass to configure. I've had to re-install CS from scratch and of course nothing works right. New Metamod, AdminMod, CSGuard, Cheating-Death and ClanMod versions have come out and they all are "buggy" but I hope to have it straight for the weekend. Thanks to Magic66 for his help "shaking out the cobwebs" ... WOOP WOOP ! But I looks to me like the big let down has been the famous ANTI-CHEAT crap they sold us.... "Don't believe the hype !!!" (as Flavor-Flav... of P.E. would say). Check-out the new stats page layout. It's cool, includes lots of detail. More of my thoughts later... like it or not.

CS 1.4 is now released !

Half-life and Counter-Strike have been updated. This has been a long awaited event. There is talk about improved anti-cheat stuff. I can only hope. GET YOUR UPDATES FROM OUR DOWNLOADS PAGE. The [Z-F]Clan Server will be updated when I get back from eating Sushi with Friktion. More to come later.

It's finally done !!!

The server upgrades, minus one AdminMod plugin and one 256meg stick of RAM, are complete for the moment. It's taken about 6 weeks or so... but it's finally done. We now have PsychoStats 1.7 and StatsMe 2.1 running... you can see where you stand on the STATS page... find the link on the Nav bar to the left. I haven't been playing much over these past weeks... so as you can see from my stats... I have forgotten how to play... or just outta practice. The latter I hope. Here's what's going on... I've been busy joining forces... (no pun intended) with my buddy Steven Webb of Digitel I.S.P. formerly of Nivets Communications where our server used to be co-located. He and I now work together along with his wife and Cubby, running Digitel I.S.P.. I take care of building machines... everything from gaming boxes to multi-processor servers... and he manages the T's, the co-lo's, the mail servers, the "Net" traffic crap and all the related headaches. His wife Carrie, does a great job watching the dough. As for "Cubby".... well Cubby is Cubby... (only the locals to us in Orlando would now what I mean). I now own a couple new domains... one being www.counter-stike.us If things go right web, game and clan match hosting will be available from both www.counter-strike.us and www.zip-force.com . Oh yeah I forgot... you can now contact any of the [Z-F]Clan members by simply using the members name plus @zip-force.com . For example: dysan23@zip-force.com or spiderman@zip-force.com ... mine is the only different one it is 007@zip-force.com . One last thing on my agenda... Since the server IP was changed there have been little or no players playing. Most Servers are authenticated through WON-Net to get to the server list that is generated by the game. The longer the server is up and on the same IP the more lists it gets on around the world and the more players are likely to find our server. Our server has made it back into the IP Pool as of Tuesday. It has taken a long time for a few reasons. 1) We are using multiple NIC cards and the hlds was not properly bound to it's NIC. It was finding itself hopping in the middle of a game to the NIC using the wrong IP causing some players finding it on 216.199.164.2:27015 and some on 216.199.164.3:27015 or not at all, this is fixed. 2) Three different motherboards were tested before things worked right thus delaying the progress. 3) A fresh new Win2K AS installation had to be done to load all the things needed to run stuff... also putting me behind schedule. But now that all is good I hope to see more and more peeps playing and with luck soon it will be like before ...packed all the time. See you there soon.

Well as of today we are officially up on a DS-3. What does that mean? It means that the server is on a BIG FAT PIPE to the net, 28 bonded T-1's to be exact. So I don't want to hear anyone bitch about lag. Note the new IP which puts us directly on Sprintnet's fiber lines. Have fun.

Player Ediquette

The post was submitted by Dysan23 The Awesome thing about counter-strike is that you’re playing with people of all races and genders. Kids ages 9-45yrs. old, and believe it or not, women. Lately though, I’ve been very disturbed by the abusive and vulgar language. This is not acceptable on our server and will not be tolerated. I’ve come to the conclusion that if you can’t play and talk with some sort of decency, you should look for another clan to play with. This also goes for clan members. Dubl/Daffy/Optimus and myself will be strictly enforcing this to make it a better place to play for everyone…. Please understand this doesn’t mean u can’t swear or joke with others. This is one example, of many, we have heard over the past months. There is no need for this type of nonsense and we promise that it will no longer happen….Trust us, there will be no warnings, you will be banned. Fucking Cheating !

I'm sick and tired of spending my gaming time kicking or banning cheaters. Then I gotta listen to players whine about other players they THINK may or may not be cheating. This is time that could be spent playing to improve my game. I am probably the clan member with the worst stats of any. So now I've installed and tested Cheating Death. You can get it here. At this time it's optional but by Friday, March 8th it wil be required. If you don't you won't be able to play. No exception.

Get the new F-ing maps !

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PEOPLE DOWNLOAD THE MAPS HERE ! DON'T WAIT FOR THE SERVER TO UPLOAD IT TO YOU ! Friday night we had a melt down and had to reload the entire server including the OS from our trusty back-up. So the dates of the new maps were not consistent with the one on the client.... so it differs from the one on the server and you know the rest, this is why you were unable to play it. Delete it and download it again etc. I'm putting up a couple more new maps.... get them HERE ! L-8-er

I run into several snags along the way but I managed to work them all out in time to save the world before bedtime...... News Galore... but not much time to write!!!

Ok... here are some quick things. 1) I hope to have the new server up sometime this week THANKS to OPPY's donation of an AMD 900mhz T-Bird Chip.... BIG UPS to OPPY !!! 2) Still working on the stats thing... more to come later on that. 3) New Maps... We are running a couple of very cool new maps: de_walmart_final, de_museum, de_deadlock and de_pasta, get them on the downloads page HERE. 4) All [Z-F] members will have to be O.G.L. registered by the end of the week... 2/18/02 to be eligible for clan matches... if your not I suggest you do. 5) We are very close to finishing the new site but till then I will try to fix the "Regain Control" button on this one. By the way... to regain control... just hit "alt+F4" on your keyboard. 6) Guess how many unique hits our site has received since January 16th 2002................. 3,000....... WOW!! that's a lot of traffic for a site that's not really promoted. Guess which was the most downloaded map................ WAAAAZZZZ-UPPPPP ... Happy New Year to all !!!

Another year has come and gone I want to wish all [Z-F]Clan members a Happy and Frag filled New Year !!! With the coming year there will be some changes. First being ... Punk Buster will be REQUIRED period end of story. Second, I expect stats to be set-up and working by the end of January. Third, There will be limited recruiting for [Z-F] in the first quarter of the year. Limited means exactly that ...limited, just a couple more members to fill in the gaps and that's it so quit f-ing bugging me! Last but not least... My intentions for 2002 is to have [Z-F] in CPL ... if your not sure what it is... go find out. So what does this mean ... it's simple, we the server will be observing O.G.L. rules. If your not sure what that means go to http://www.worldogl.com and find out. All of us at [Z-F] hopes that everyone has a great new year and we hope to see you again in 2002 !

Lots to Tell... And This Time It's Good News !

"Well it's about Goddamn time..." everybody must be saying ! And everyone is right. Since the last post in June lots of things have happened. I'm not sure where to begin.... let's see... back in June the old server, that was running on a Road Runner line had become UNBEARABLE to play, ridiculous pings and lag spikes, it just sucked, so I ignored it and set my sights on finding a BIG PIPE to the net. I spoke to lots of ISP's, co-locators and even considered getting a T-1 but the costs was just out of control. The average cost for T-1 is about $450.00 plus like $1300.00 for installation... too rich for my blood! Then about a month ago I was talking to a guy at work who said that he knew of a guy with an ISP in Kissimmee, (just south of Orlando). I went down, and met with Steven of Nivets Communications http://www.nivets.com. After taking a little tour of the facility and discussing costs I went back to some of the local members of [Z-F] to report my findings. I want to personally thank my buddy Shane, [Z-F]->Dysan23<-, for funding the servers new co-location making it possible for all of us to play with out the lag we all grow to know and love (ha-ha). I encourage all members to take a minute and do the same. Dysan23 is the man ! The server is now connected to 4 bonded T-1s pumping out about 6megs of data transfer full duplex. In short... very fast. New maps will upload to you automatically and all that good stuff. PunkBuster is currently optional but soon it will be required. I'm sorry if people don't like it but it's the only tool we have right now to prevent cheating. The new Flash site is currently being constructed by our friend and fellow clan member Steve Spargo, [Z-F]->Daffy<-, and is looking very cool! My thanks go out to him as well. I'll see if I can post a screen shot from it at some point. Last but not least, there have been many players on the server requesting to join [Z-F], we will NOT be recruiting until the the new site is completed. There are reasons for this. There will be a new "Enlistment" area that will make it easier to for us to manage new membership issues. The "Members" area on THIS site is updated to reflect current active members and the "Honorary Members" area is updated to reflect non-active members. Okay... Lots to Tell... Not Much Good News

Finally an update to the site!!! Well not much good news at all. For the past 4 weeks or so you probably noticed that I had not been around, nor did the site get updated. This is because I had hooked up with a guy that owns a web design company... sdginteractive.com ... introduced him to Counter-Strike and now he too is addicted. He lives close to me so we been hangin' out, talkin' about stuff, and the subject came up about the server and why it lagggggs etc. I explained the whole bandwidth issue to him and blah blah blah. He said "hey I've got tons of bandwidth that I pay for now and I don't think I use it all !". Well needless to say I was very, very siked !!! :-) The end of all our lag problems and the ability to have 10 on 10 playing on the [Z-F]Clan Server... things are gonna be GREAT I thought... . We prepared things to get the ball rolling and expected to have the new one up today (6/14/01) but this past Monday we got the call back from this guys ISP telling us that to get him up to 512k, which is what you want for a descent CS server it will cost an additional $186.00 PER MONTH ! YIKES !!! I'm very sorry to say that I don't have that kind of scratch to dish out every month to expend on an internet connection to play Counter-Strike. This really puts a twist in my shorts... there is no one more upset about this than me !!! I REALLY thought that this was going to workout. Finally a place in the sun for [Z-F]Clan ... well it didn't and I apologize for bringing everybody's hopes up, those who were behind the scenes and knew what was going on and anyone who may have heard about what was going on. On a lighter note... Friktion, Sarakiel, and I had the great pleasure of meeting Optimus Prime in person. Man he's tall ! We all live kinda close to each other here in Orlando. Many thing were discussed and I had a good time. I hope he did too. He's a really cool individual. Thanks Op ! One more thing... ALL OGL play of CS has been SUSPENDED !!! Ogl reports. Why ??? MANY NEW CHEATS AND CHEATERS !!! We have seen some of these new cheats on our server as of late too. The most popular cheat.... RESPAWN CHEAT. This cheat allows you to respawn at your base seconds after you get killed, thus making it hard for the other team to get a win because he keeps coming back to life. Just ask Op how annoying it is and how we got some revenge on "big_gay_daddy" . That's all for now.

Practices And Stuff.

Now that we are getting ourselves together we need to start focusing on some things. First I feel that we need to start some organized practices, not just constant "free-fer-all's". Second, If we want to compete "with the big boys" we need to play as a team. To play as a team we need to practice together and learn each others styles, strengths and weaknesses. In addition, each of us has to select an "assignment" (ie.:guard the base, rescue the hostages or covering the bomb if a T drops it and not just take off so another T can get it) this game is about STRATEGY not Individual score. I think this is very important. I'm trying to work out a plan for this. If anyone has a suggestion feel free to sent it to me. IF ANYONE HAS IDEAS OR DISAGREES WITH ANY OF MY COMMENTS PLEASE CONTACT ME SO THINGS CAN BE WORKED OUT !!! Also if any member has not registered with OGL please do so ..... Early this evening the modem for the server burned-up, literally. One minute I smelled melting plastic, then sparks and then smoke. I might be a few days before I get a replacement.

No More Recruits For Now & My B-day

I've received many requests from players that wish to join the clan. At this time we can not accept anymore applications at least until I have the [Z-F] Clan 2 Server up and running. This way we don't have all [Z-F] members on 1 server all the time. I think we all enjoy when players that we don't know join in the game ... I believe it keeps us sharp. I have not played much this week because work has been heavy and by the time I get home I'm wrecked, but this week I hope to be in more often. O.G.L. is The Online Gaming League, I would like to register our clan with them and play ladders. Clan Practice On Wednesday & NO MORE SPEED CHEATERS !!!

I encourage all [Z-F]Clan members to be around for practice on Wednesday... about 7:00 or so. We have 2 matches this weekend and I think that we all would like to kick some ass !!! The server has been updated to fix the speed cheat problem. Fuck them !!! The second server should be up this weekend.... If I can get the time to finish. More info l-8-er.

Friday's Clan Match & New Screen Shots

Friday's Clan Match which featured [K.Y.A.C] against [Z-F], didn't quite work out. 9 [Z-F] members showed up to the server ready to kick some [K.Y.A.C.] ass but only 2 of them. I would like to thank the 2 that did and hope to have it rescheduled for Friday Feb.23 @9:00 Central Time Zone. So we just ended up having a free-for-all practice session. NEW MAP ROTATION The MAP ROTATION HAS CHANGED... I encourage ALL [Z-F] members to check the "Map Rotation" page and download any map that you may not have!!!!! Anyone who wishes to play on the [Z-F]Clan Server is encouraged to do the same or play elsewhere.

More New Stuff On The Site

First I want to thank everyone that has asked to join [Z-F] and those who have shown interest about us. It makes me feel great to now that people out there enjoy my server and the others that play on it. This afternoon I will be adding NEW members to the site. Check back later for more stuff.

New Stuff On The Site

I have spent a little time putting up some new stuff on the site. There is now an "Enlist" page ... go there if your interested in joining [Z-F]. The "Members" page has also been updated and has the current members listed. In addition the "Screenshots", "Scores" and "How to" pages have been updated as well. The server has been updated. I had to install a new IBM Deskstar 20 GIG 10,000 RPM Drive this weekend. ($$$$$) The cost of having a server when the old one takes a shit. The ver. 1b patch has been installed too. Last thing for now .... the maps are going to be changed .... I am still deciding which to use .... any suggestions ??? send 'em in.

Name Change & Membership

You may have noticed that the name of the server has changed. This is because players have questioned who's server they were playing on and some had said that it was theirs. Also |NSRD| feels that this is where they can recruit people for their own clan. Now it should be more. I will update the members page this weekend. If you want to join [Z-F] visit the enlist page.

Here's the short version. A few weeks ago Shadowhawk was defending the [Z-F]Clan's "honor" by questioning a players use of the [Z-F] tag on his name. This player, as it turns out, is a very good friend of mine who had recently begun to play CS. I told him to use the tag. Why you may ask? Why not... he's my buddy, plus he has the potential to be good player. Well they had an exchange words. My friend has a way with words and offended Shad. more to come tomorrow.

Adelphia Is A Bust (Part III)

I've been on the phone for most of the morning with 6 different Adelphia technicians, customer service and finally one of the head cheeses at their corporate offices in Pennsylvania trying to get to the bottom of the connection issue. Without going into too much detail, this is the deal. The head cheese at corporate was the only one that in my opinion spoke the truth, according to him the service advertised is available but not in Orlando. In fact a small area of Palm Beach Florida is about the closest in proximity, we're gonna get to even see the speeds they claimed. He went on to explain that the Orlando area is probably 2 or more years from even being considered for an upgrade. So, the result is ... I still need more bandwidth to reduce lag on the server. This sucks out loud. I am going to explore some other options, possibly Commercial Road Runner but this will come at a cost.

Adelphia Is Still A Bust (Part II)

Adelphia was out to "check the trouble with node" today, not that I would know because no one left notice that they were. Guess what? The connection still SUCKS! I will be calling them again.

Adelphia Is A Bust

Adelphia Power Link Service was installed yesterday. I've been on DSLreports.com for the better part of the day testing the transfer rates and it looks like Adelphia is a bust! The max download speed I've been able to squeeze out of it has been 629 kbps, about 11 times than 56k. BIG FUCKING DEAL!! The max upload speed has been a dismal 126 kbps, less than half of what I get now with Road Runner. Needless to say I called them and asked "What the fuck??". They said that there "must be a problem on your node" and that someone will be out on Wednesday to fix the trouble, we'll see. I want to wish everyone who plays on The Z-Force Server a safe and Happy New Year!!!! If your out on the roads please be careful I want to see everyone back on and playing next year.

A Faster Connection

I'm scheduled to have Adelphia Power Link Service on Saturday December 30, 2000. If what they say is true and the upload speed is faster than Road Runner, this should fix our lag problems. Currently with RR: Download speed is 1437 kbps max Upload speed is 300 kbps max Adelphia claims that we'll get: Download speeds of 6 mbps or faster Upload speeds of 640 bps GUARANTIED We'll see. There are some new screen shots to check-out and an Alias Binder on the download page.
